Artist Bio

Dannie began her artistic career working as a painting assistant for an artist in Atlanta; she simultaneously pursued her Master’s degree in Horticulture Science and quickly fell in love with gardens and gardening. Dannie worked as a horticulturist for several years at Winterthur in Delaware and then Longwood Gardens in Pennsylvania before pursuing a career in floristry. Dannie eventually move back to Georgia and has been painting ever since. These experiences allowed Dannie to explore color, form, and structure on a large scale and has shaped the way she interprets her subjects now.
